Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglary in-progress at 186 West Evangeline Oaks Circle and is asking that anyone with information please contact the Property Crimes Division immediately.
A witness reportedly observed two black males forcing their way in the rear door of their neighbor’s home and immediately reported the situation to authorities. Deputies were able to arrive within a few minutes of the call and observe the actors jumping over the fence.
A perimeter was established and K9 units attempted to track the suspects; however, the scent was lost and it is believed that the suspects fled into the National Forest directly behind the neighborhood. The area was checked and the suspects were not found.
The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch commends the witness for immediately contacting the Sheriff’s Department while the suspicious activity was happening. Remember, your call can save a life, prevent injury or stop a criminal act.
The two possible suspects were observed to be wearing gloves and running away from the immediate area. Pillow cases containing miscellaneous items were located next to the residence that was burglarized.
