Did you remember to set your alarm system when you left your home last time?
- Setting your alarm helps alert law enforcement and neighbors to a possible crime in progress.
Is your alarm registered?
- Both Montgomery County and Harris County require permits for alarms. To receive a permit, complete an agreement and submit it with the fee.
Do you know how your alarm works and what features your alarm has?
- If the answer is no, then it’s time for a refresher. To learn more about your alarm, contact your alarm company. False alarms use law enforcement resources that could be used elsewhere. The community goal is to eliminate false alarms.
More than 90 percent of alarms in Montgomery and Harris County are false.
