National Night Out Important Dates and Deadlines

National Night Out Generic 2017

National Night Out in The Woodlands will feature a variety of contests and promotions to get neighborhoods involved in helping to fight crime!

Boots vs. Badges Softball Game (8/6/17) 

Help us kickoff National Night Out and come out and support local public safety personnel at the Boots vs. Badges softball game on Sunday, August 6 at 7 p.m. at McCullough Jr. High- Scotland Yard baseball field. You don’t want to miss this free family fun event.

Early Bird Registration (Deadline 8/25/17)

Register your party by Friday, July 15th, for a chance to win a free pizza party and other prizes for your party!

Identify a Burglar Village Challenge (Deadline 9/22/17)

This fun contest is designed to promote neighborhood cooperation, crime prevention awareness and to test your skill and accuracy in identifying a suspect! A “burglar” and a “good guy” will be escorted by a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputy to your NNO neighborhood party. Your neighborhood must then work as a team to help identify the burglar! One party from each village will be drawn and the selected parties will be notified and given the materials to participate.

Packet Pick Up Day (9/26/17)

After you have registered your party, plan to stop by The Woodlands Township on September 26 between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. to pick up give-away items, signs, crime prevention information, balloons and other items you might need. Come enjoy light snacks and great prize drawings!

Military Drive! (10/9/17 – 10/13/17)

Support our military and collect items at your party. A full list of items needed is available in the Party Guide. Items collected will be donated to Operation Military Embrace. Donated items will be collected at The Woodlands Township on August 3 – 5, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Interfaith Food Drive (10/9/17 – 10/13/17)

Nonperishable food items collected at your party can be dropped off at Interfaith between October 9 – October 13. Please make sure you mention National Night Out when giving your donation!

Theme Party Contest (Deadline 10/12/17)

Come up with a fun theme for your party and enter the Theme Contest! Parties are judged on the following criteria: Use of Theme, Creativity, Neighborhood Involvement and Crime Prevention Message/Education. The parties will be judged by the photos your submit. If you would like to participate, be sure to mark it on your party registration form. The winner will receive a pizza party for your neighborhood. 

Sidewalk Chalk Art Competition (Deadline 10/12/17)

Create neighborhood safety art with side walk chalk. You will be provided with the side walk chalk for your party. Your side walk art will be judged by the photos you submit. If you would like to participate, be sure to mark it on your party registration form. The winner will receive a pizza party for your neighborhood.
