Back to School Safety!

Safety Cover 2

August is an exciting time of year as we prepare for the back-to-school season. As summer vacation wraps up, and children go back to school, plan to slow down and pay attention where kids are present, especially before and after school.

A few precautions will go a long way towards keeping children safe:

  • Driving in a School Zone
    • Be alert for school zones that have a reduced speed limit at designated times of day
  • Dropping Off Students
    • Know the the drop-off procedures specific to your school
  • Share the Road with School Buses
    • If  you’re driving behind a bus, allow a greater following distance than if you were driving behind a car. It  will give you more time to stop once the yellow lights start flashing.
